      Colloquio

I will say the process started off really nicely. I was contacted by the senior developer a few days after applying and went in for an initial interview where I was given an overview of the company and the position. Everyone was really nice and friendly. I was given a quick technical assessment where I was asked to spot out bugs in some code. There were also some questions about previous projects and just a couple of behavioral questions. They asked me when I graduated high school as as part of a behavioral question, which I found to be inappropriate but I responded anyway. Early the next day I was asked to take part in a second more comprehensive live coding interview. The interviewers were very helpful in providing guidance and feedback during and after the interview. I will state that everyone was really, really nice and the culture of the company seemed great. Later in the day (Friday) I was offered the position saying that I stood out of all of the many candidates that applied for the position. I was offered a low hourly with no mention of benefits, and was told that I would be placed on a 6 month probationary period. I responded on Monday with a counter-offer and didn’t hear back for 3 days when I decided to send a follow-up. I was pretty certain at this point that I would not accept any offer from them as the lack of any acknowledgement of my counter-offer was a big red-flag and frankly very unprofessional and immature . I got an email back from the senior developer saying sorry for the delay, but that they wouldn’t accept my offer and were moving forward with other candidates.

      Domande di colloquio [1]

      Domanda 1

When did you graduate high school? Okay, what do you think your high school self would say about where you think you’d be now?
