In my intro call with HR I was very unimpressed that they asked me for my current salary (who still does that?) and then had the gall to respond when I asked for the job's salary range that "It's confidential". When I told her my range, she asked if I was 'flexible' on it (ie. go lower) - um, nope.
Also, the questions were sometimes a bit awkward and repetitive - the interviewer had English as a second language and seemed not to get some things that I was sharing. She also could not share with me anything of substance when I asked about diversity and inclusion initiatives.
I had a second interview with the hiring managers and it went well. However, they/HR totally ghosted me afterwards - no response even after I tried to follow up several weeks later to at least get some kind of response. Yuck - seems like this workplace is old school and dragging its feet.
