Ask unnecessary & private information before interview (Such as blood type, birthday and year, home address, marriage status, pervious salary...etc.) in Taiwan, very unprofessional. Cannot improve the process even getting feedback. Because the bureaucracy. Ask a lot of information, but share little about the position information. lack of transparency.

Colloquio
The interview process began with a virtual interview, followed by an onsite at their San Jose location. I was initially scheduled to meet with 1-2 individuals for 90 minutes but ended up interviewing with 5 people over the course of 3 hours. The office environment felt quiet and low-energy, and the receptionist was notably unwelcoming.
Following the onsite, I had to reach out multiple times over the next four weeks to the Senior HR Manager who originally contacted me. Unfortunately, I never received a response or any closure regarding the outcome of my interview. The lack of communication was disappointing and came across as highly unprofessional, potentially indicative of broader issues within SMC’s organizational culture.
