Reaching out to them was exciting, as there was no specific job opening I applied for. After I was invited to come to their office and casually talk about how we can make things work, we ended with mutually good feeling. Days later they reached back out to me to ask me to come by for a second interview. This too left a mutual positive impression. After the last interview I had to wait weeks before they got back to me with an offer. Repeatedly making promises to get back to me with an offer eventually resulted in radio silence. Eventually I received an offer via mail. Discussing contract details wasn't appreciated and turned into a change of general mood.
