Got a call from the owner, who set an appointment. He was pretty straight forward and thought blunt seemed to be professional about setting a mutual meeting time to discuss the role. We chose an early morning slot that was given by the owner and confirmed before ending the phone screening. Upon arriving15 minutes early, no one was at the site. I was told arriving at the office then would have teammates and the lead running through their normal morning routine and it would “be good for you to see”. What I didn’t see was an active operation and more less a company that looked like it was closed when I came to the door - lights off, boxes in the lobby, advertisement on the door left from a canvassing efforts curled inward clearly been there for a while. I called the number and texted and was ghosted. This is a first, but what made the situation more unprofessional was the call later that day begging and apologizing for missing our appointment from the ‘long night before’. That told me everything I needed to know and declined a following meeting.
