I completed the online assignment, which included questions on Python and even a specific one on Pandas — neither of which were mentioned in the job description. There was also one programming question and one MySQL question, which seemed unusual since the role didn’t list any database requirements. In fact, the job description only mentioned Java and C++, neither of which were covered in the assessment.

I recently interviewed for the Jr Software Engineer position. I felt my background aligned well with the listed requirements (Java, Spring Boot, full-stack development). I spent considerable time preparing for and successfully passing their technical interview. However, shortly after, I received a rejection citing that my "background and experience" did not fit, without any specific feedback. This was confusing and disheartening, as my experience matches the role’s stated qualifications. The process felt like a waste of time and effort. If experience was truly the issue, this could have been identified earlier without moving candidates through a technical interview. I hope the company reviews its candidate evaluation process to provide clearer expectations and feedback to applicants. Transparency would make for a much better candidate experience.

Phone call, technical OA, another phone call, then final onsite in their office in Accenture Tower. The process was fairly standard. The interview was easy, but they're looking for a culture fit.
