Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite segnalazione di un dipendente. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Sur La Table (Seattle, WA) nel mese di mag 2010
Colloquio
My interview experience was lengthy. It began with a conversation with the DM, who was super friendly and engaging.
Step two was a three part interview with the HR Manager, VP of Stores and the the VP of HR. That was more chat with a lot of great people who were fun to talk to. The afternoon ended with a commitment that I would hear from them by the following Monday.
I was pretty excited about this opportunity, so when Monday came and went, then Tuesday, Wednesday and finally Thursday...I sent an email asking if there were outstanding questions that I could answer for them to get them to the point where they knew as well as I that I met the job criteria. That email created a bit of a scramble for the interviewers because apparently I was the candidate of choice but no one had communicated that to me.
However, the act of reaching out to the interviewers created interview number three, where I was basically blamed for the interviewers failure to follow through on their commitment to me. It was couched as concern that I would burn out, which I sufficiently defended, earning a job that I stayed at for almost 5 years.

In person, multiple questions based on a corporate script, boring questions, really did not get to know me as a candidate, a little on the snobby side, but I did like the store itself

Very robotic. The manager reads off a list of questions. Not genuine at all. The additional questions that are asked are generic and no depth to them. It seems that the interviewer wants to get to know the candidate however is not able to ask more questions.
District manager from LA contacted me via email. I responded immediately. His response came 4 days later requesting availability for a phone interview. Again my response was immediate. 2 days later he requested a Saturday afternoon time slot for the interview. We confirmed the time via emails and i made sure I was available at the requested time. No call came. No follow up apologizing for the lack of phone call or new availability. A complete lack of respect of my time. I won’t be pursuing this company again.
