I entered the store because of the "Now Hiring" sign in the window. I had a brief conversation with the hiring manager. I was directed to apply online. Two days later I received a phone call to come in for the formal interview. The interview was a face to face appointment in the manager's office and lasted about 30 minutes.

I was almost denied an interview for no reason other than personal bias on behalf of the manager. Luckily an anonymous complaint to HR about the same issue fixed this and I was granted an interview. Though from the second it started (with the manager being over an hour late) I felt that I was not going to get the job despite the fact that the interview itself was successful.

Since there was no room in the back, we had to find a reasonably quiet corner of the sales floor to talk. Interview questions are standard, and they want REAL LIFE EXPERIENCES when you answer. Saying "that's never happened" either means you have no real experience and may be a bad fit, or you are lying and are a bad fit.
