I applied through the company's website and was later contacted by a recruiter to discuss my availability for interviews with managers and directors. After two rounds of interviews, I received a job offer. However, here’s the concerning part: The job posting did not include a salary range, and the recruiter never inquired about my salary expectations. Based on Glassdoor data, the estimated salary for a Senior Accountant at this company aligned with my expectations, so I wasn’t initially concerned. The offer, however, was disappointing. Despite the title of Senior Accountant, the salary was 15% below the market average—even lower than what current employees reported on Glassdoor. While this role could have been a title advancement for me, the offer was actually lower than my current salary. I attempted to negotiate by stating my expected range, hoping for a compromise. Unfortunately, the company stood firm on their offer, so I declined. ALWAYS ASK FOR THE SALARY BEFORE WASTING YOUR TIME.

The interview process was quick, I applied online and an HR person contacted me. We scheduled a teams interview with hiring manager and 2 accounting directors. Interview wasn’t hard, they were easy to talk to. But I was told I’d hear back with a decision in a week, and I was Ghosted. I followed up with the HR person and no response.
