      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 4 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso SwipeSense (Chicago, IL) nel mese di gen 2018

      Colloquio

DO NOT DO IT!! I applied on line and received a call from the HR rep. I was then asked to come in for an interview which I did and met my new manager. A few days later, I was asked to do another interview with the current team on the phone, and then a few days later with the head of he company on the phone. I received an offer letter on a Monday with an expiration date of a Friday and a phone call asking if I will accept the offer or not. I said I would let them know by Friday. I then got an email from head of the company and my "manager" wanting to take my spouse and I out to dinner. (An archaic practice from years ago but I figured it is a start up and things are done differently). Logistically, it was not possible so we set up a Skype meeting instead. This should have been a red flag but I continued onward. Then the Skype meeting got cancelled and I got an email saying that they are retracting my offer letter because the board wasn't sure if I was the right candidate (This was on Thursday and I prepared to put in my resignation Friday morning!) I was then asked to meet my manager to put together a 30/60/90 day plan based so that he can take it back to the board. I submitted my plan and then got an email stating they have decided to look at other candidates. Basically, they used me for my ideas. AKA "brain rape" in Silicon Valley.
