Pros:
The job opportunity seemed promising at first, and I appreciated the initial contact with the recruiting team. Synerfac offers a wide range of positions and, in my experience, the role I interviewed for had the potential to be a good fit in terms of career growth.
Cons:
Unfortunately, my interview experience with Synerfac was highly unprofessional. The process felt unnecessarily lengthy for an entry-level recruiter position, with three separate phone calls just to discuss a role that didn’t require this much back-and-forth. It quickly became apparent that I was overqualified for the position, yet they continued to push for additional, time-consuming interviews.
The most concerning aspect of the process was the branch manager's behavior during the interview. They asked personal, inappropriate questions such as where I planned to live, who I’d be living with, and whether I had a partner. These questions not only crossed professional boundaries but also seemed completely inappropriate, especially for a recruiting role where such questions are typically considered off-limits. This gave me serious concerns about the company’s understanding of professional boundaries and interview etiquette.
After telling them that I had another offer and needed a quick decision (as I was "verbally" told I had the role), they immediately rejected me. This abrupt shift felt unprofessional and left me questioning the company’s internal communication and hiring practices.
Overall:
Synerfac’s interview process was frustrating and left me with doubts about the company’s workplace culture and respect for professional boundaries. It’s disappointing that such an unnecessary, drawn-out process ultimately ended in rejection after I had been told I was a strong candidate. If you're considering applying, I recommend being cautious about the interview process and the company’s overall culture. Based on my experience, it seems like a place with high turnover and inconsistent communication.
