For a programming role, we expect a fresher with a BE degree for 4 years, to have at least 50-60 simple programs of practical lab experience. We expect the person to at least not have bought his/her college project. And to have a simple knowledge of what an IDE is. When freshers do not have any lab experience, however possess good aptitude or attitude, we offer a lower pay, in 5 digits, per month (for the first two full calendar quarters, i.e., approximately 6 months), so that the fresher can learn basics of programming or testing and process of software development lifecycle. And we do remember you, as you had 0 practical lab experience of programming and however, you did decent in the aptitude round. You had a chance of the offer for first 6 months.
