You'll need to go to their TALEO powered Careers website to fill in a fairly detailed profile even if they know you already. Uploading your Resume helps fill in a lot of the information. From there you will need to attach that profile to the actual job posting and connect the two together.
HR will screen you at first and answer any high level questions you have.
Get to know TELUS before you apply and certainly before the interviews. Read their Financials, Annual reports and try and meet other TELUS people.
After everything - there will be a Panel interview: Your hiring manager and a number of your peers or potential colleagues. You will be asked to do a 10 minute presentation (do NOT go over!) and this will be followed by Q&A. If your position is technically oriented the questions will veer that way. If it is more leadership oriented then expect the questions to be more Managerial.
If you can get past the panel interview you will be asked to supply references and go through a Police background check (all TELUS employees need to pass this criminal record check).

The interview questions need to show practical real-world examples. Do not use theoretical answers: They want to see what YOU would do from your own real experience.

They seemed like standard questions, checking for knowledge and behaviour. It seems like it was used for more of a benchmarking purposes than anything else. Very bureaucratic process, with efficient time monitoring, little room for creativity.

The process began with an HR screening interview via phone. This took about 30 minutes and the HR rep asked good questions, showing they had knowledge of the role and skills required. The next step was to meet with the hiring manager. This was another 30-minute discussion and was informal, but with good questions. Next, I had to complete an assignment, which took about 1.5 hours, but was a good way to show off my skills and gave me a good sense of the type of work required in the role. The final step was a panel interview with three people. This was much more formal and lasted just over an hour.

Tell me about a time you needed to manage a change on your team. How did you approach the conversation and what was the outcome.

The interview process was broken into: Conversations with the decision-makers and HR due diligence. I would describe the overall process as disconnected. ie. A disconnect between HR processes and the business was apparent. Specifically... the questions from the business covered my background, experience, work-style, temperament and approach to working with others. Very professional. The questions from HR seemed to be scattered leading to delays and repetition which added significant time to the oeverall process. Throughout the process it became evident that the misalignment was a sympton of larger organizational issues around effecient decision-making and strategic direction.
