Was contacted by an agency representing the company. Spoke same day and they submitted me for the role. The following day they confirmed the hiring manager wants to meet. Met with the hiring manager. They had their moments where they were open and engaging, but they were mostly stoic/apathetic. I tend to smile and laugh a bit during interviews so I gauge receptivity by the interviewer’s reactions, unsure of this one. She did ask me tactless a question that I answered honestly and graciously, but that left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't have much confidence in their ability to scale the business and where they're spending on headcount, but what do I know. Followed up with the agency a week later on updates and noticed the job had been posted minutes before I sent out the email. Disappointing because I was really excited about the brand and its growth plans. I’ve worked with the agency before and typically have had a good experience, but this one leaves much to be desired. The lack of communication/follow up for an agency I think is unacceptable. Role is still being reposted.
