Applied to the position and recieved a lengthy email that I was one of 10 applicants, and was instructed to do a creative challenge. I had to do a brand exercise (a brand book that incorporated their new branding), creatively refresh a sample presentation they would give to a client (creative strategy test), and a video interview. This was extremely time-consuming and I only had the weekend to complete it. I’m usually weary of these types of things, but because the person that emailed me was pretty responsive in the beginning, I felt marginally ok about it. I spent all weekend (probably around 20 hours) doing the “creative challenge,” and emailed my application in on-time and heard nothing. A few weeks went by, I emailed again and heard nothing. I’m still pretty upset about what happened; I lost that entire weekend working on the application and they also got some free ideas.
