I applied to Tableau online in late November, got contacted in January to schedule the first interview. All interviews were over the phone. First interview only covered basic theoretical concepts and didn't involve coding, but rather explaining algorithms. It also covered questions like "What is the hardest bug you ever had to fix" After that, 2 weeks later I was scheduled 2 consecutive final interviews. They involved coding using Google Docs. The questions were not hard, and the interviewers were helpful and really friendly.
