Recruiter reached out to me. Took a call with the recruiter setting the expectations including the salary. They followed up quickly setting up a meeting the same week with the manager of that team. Minimum technical questions during that interview. Mostly talked about their company and what they do. They sent me an assignment to do at home (typical data eng spark question). It took about 6-8 hours. I did the assignment including the bonus points. They came up with some BS reason to delay getting back to me like all the team is off for the week due to American thanksgiving. They got back to me 2 weeks later saying that they are looking for someone with more technical experience. They found someone cheaper for the job and kept me waiting in case they did not accept the offer. Waste of time and lack of proper communication from the recruiter with no clear feedback at the end. Do not waste your time if you are asking for a salary that is fair relative to what they pay their US employees.
