I graduated from the University of Florida in December 2008. I was recruited by Target from our University Career Fair, and was interested in an Executive Team Leader position. While at the Career Fair, i was able to introduce myself to around 6-8 Target Representatives; whom all have positions with the company. While there, i handed them my resume, and gave them a brief summary of my accomplishments and credentials. Around six days later, i was informed that i was set up for an interview with them. They informed me that the interview would be a "Behavioral type interview". Target also hosted an info session at my university, which allowed us to get practice on answering behavioral based interviews. In a behavioral interview, you will be asked about a specific time in your life that you experienced something. You want to be as specific as you can! You want to first state the situation, then you want to elaborate on the behavior or action taken (who was involved, and what role did you play), and finally state the outcome of the situation. Again, you need to be specific and straight to the point! Target is a very energetic and team oriented company,; so their looking for individuals who are ready to make a difference.

Got the interview from a career fair. Met with one person who handled hiring and had a great conversation and had one other phone interview. Asked me relevant questions and I was excited about the role

It was a two step interview process. Personable and you are able to interview with not only your direct managers but theirs as well. Provides transparency into your new team. My interview was virtual because I was moving to the area, but I'm sure they do in person for local folks.

The interview was straightforward and to the point. Situation based interview, what would you do in this certain scenario. Interviewer was very friendly, and welcoming. They want to make sure that you have what it takes to be a leader
