Very unprofessional experience, would highly recommend staying away.
After applying online for a position, I received an email from a recruiter asking to set a phone screen and promptly picked a time from the Calendly link provided, which then specified it would be a video call. Soon after, I received an email from the same recruiter asking for my resume, which I had used to apply so they should have had already. This was almost immediately followed by the same form email she had sent earlier asking to set the phone screen. At first didn’t think much of it other than possible slight disorganization (understandable during COVID!), but from there it got much worse became more and more apparent that the entire process would be unprofessional.
First, the recruiter rescheduled my set interview without seeing if the new time worked on my end, less than two hours before our scheduled time. There was no email letting me know it was being rescheduled or asking me if the time worked—just a change to the calendar invite updating the time to one the following business day. Then, they canceled the rescheduled interview (again, less than two hours before our appointment and without an email note) citing in the calendar cancellation that I was not the right fit for the role. That should have been determined before setting and resetting an interview. I would be more than understanding if I was not the right fit and as a result, didn’t receive an interview, but I would have liked to have known that before preparing for and scheduling my day around an interview twice. The lack of e-mails updating me of these changes, the last-minute nature of the changes, and the recruiter setting an interview before determining if I was a good fit made me feel as if they were disorganized, unprofessional, and disrespectful of applicants’ time.
