They contacted me very soon after I sent in my application, and said they thought I would be a good fit. I was excited, and we set up a phone interview. Instead of calling, however, they emailed and postponed the interview until the next day. I was a bit annoyed, but oh well. The next day I waited for the call, but thought it might be a good idea to check my email. They had emailed me instead of calling (again) asking me urgently to confirm that I did not presently live in the area. (My address was given at the very top of my resume, so it should have been obvious.) I confirmed that I did not live in the area, but would have to move for the job. They didn't email me back. Half an hour after the scheduled time of the phone interview I emailed again asking if we were still going to hold the phone interview. I never heard a single thing back from them. The whole process was EXTREMELY unprofessional. (I then came on Glassdoor to check what the company was like, and found that the consensus was that there were really nice people working there, but that the company had egregious levels of employee turnover because they didn't really provide a wage that covered the cost of living in that area. I suppose this explains why they didn't want to hire someone from outside the area: they needed to fill a position extremely quickly and didn't want to have to wait until I moved.)
