      Colloquio

      I recently interviewed with Tech Mahindra for a QAD role, and while the interview itself was excellent, the overall experience with their recruitment process was extremely disappointing and concerning. The initial interview went very well — the panel was professional and knowledgeable. The next day, HR asked me to share my PF-related and salary documents to process my profile. After submitting everything, the HR stopped responding, and I received no update for more than 1.5 months. After that long gap, another HR contacted me for the same role, explaining that the previous recruiter had left the organization. I was again asked to share my documents and complete digital verification through a third-party app. What was alarming is that this third-party application required me to log in using my UAN ID and password (for PF) as well as my ITR login ID and password. This raised serious data privacy and security concerns, as such credentials should never be requested for background verification. Still, I proceeded because I was told it was mandatory for completing the offer process. After finishing the verification, HR told me my offer letter would be released the next day. Later, I was informed that a short five-minute call with the interview panel was needed just to take a “screenshot.” However, when I joined, it turned into a full one-hour technical interview again. Despite being unprepared, I completed it successfully, and the interviewer confirmed that my profile was approved. HR again said that the offer letter would be released soon, but after a few days, they informed me that the position was put on hold. This was extremely disappointing, especially because I had already resigned from my previous organization based on their assurance that the offer would be issued. Overall, while the interview panel was professional, the HR process was unorganized, misleading, and included highly questionable verification practices involving personal login credentials. ⚠️ Note to Candidates: Please be cautious if you are ever asked to share UAN or ITR login credentials through any third-party app — this is not a standard or secure hiring practice.
