I was first contacted by independent recruiter who, after some basic preliminary questions, passed on my name to the company. The background as explained to me was that a previous successful candidate up and left with no notice so they "urgently" need a new candidate. I then get a phone call just about 24hrs later asking if I can agree to a interview with the contracting company in the next 3hrs. Ideally I prefer 24hrs notice so I can prepare but in the spirit of cooperation I agreed. They then ask if the interview can be recorded and while I never been asked for that I again agreed.
