      Colloquio

I first talked to Coleen and a freelancer through video. They seem super nice and friendly. I left the first interview feeling that the company is unorganized. But I also felt that the company is in desperate need of help- a good role for someone who likes working a lot and having job security. But I got the impression that overworking out of the job description is expected. And to me, that is a red flag. While I do not mind working OT, I do not think employers should expect it. And I got the impression that it is expected. I was feeling skeptical but saw the passion in the eyes of the people interviewing me. Later that day or the next day, I was sent a practical to fill out. It felt like I was giving free consultation advice as the questions were about how to improve things, what strategies I would use, and how I would implement them. I also had to create two social posts and a newsletter. I filled that out and sent it back. After a while, and having to reach back out to Coleen, I was told I would meet with the VP of marketing. I was hoping that the VP would change my mind and give me what I wanted to hear to feel committed to the company and position. I had a super lovely and candid conversation with the VP. I did ask about how he handles overworking and being burnt out when it comes to himself and employees and he essentially told me he works OT and because he works remote (it is a fully remote company and job) that he does not get burnt out. I wasn't too happy to hear this. I did enjoy hearing about how he loves working with passionate people, and creating a positive working environment for his team. I think he is a wonderful guy, and probably a great boss and team member. I was later told the salary I asked for was out of the original range but some adjustments could be made. But that was never confirmed. I also asked to be guaranteed the ability to work in Google Ads and that was also not confirmed. I was emailed about giving a few references and I forgot to reply to the email as I got busy. I then got a call that said I just need to submit references and that is the final step before being given an offer letter. I then emailed and explained that I would not be moving forward and to focus their time on other applicants. After sending the email that I would not be moving forward with Tentrr, I got an email back saying that I would not have been offered the job anyways. Why lie? I literally have the voicemail recording saying the last step is submitting references and now I have an email saying I things don't align anyway? They clearly aligned for you.

      Domanda 1

to me, most of the questions were to see if you have the right personality.

Thanks for your feedback and for emailing me your concerns separately so that the team could discuss them internally. At Tentrr, we expect employees to work hard but believe in a work life balance. During the interview process we indicated we are looking to hire employees that will take initiative and make recommendations on how to grow the business if they see opportunities. We hope that candidates would see this as an exciting opportunity to really make a difference in the business." Additionally, since it sounds like there was a misunderstanding; yes, we were moving forward with the next step (checking references) in the offer process. Since you responded by withdrawing your application and the reasons why, I responded by supporting your decision and agreeing that while there were some things the team thought they could resolve, it still didn't seem like it would be enough given all of your concerns. Thank you again for taking the time to apply, interview, and providing your feedback. I hope you find an amazing opportunity. Sincerely, Tentrr
