Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite un'agenzia di reclutamento personale. La procedura ha richiesto 2 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Tesla (New York, NY) nel mese di ago 2017
Colloquio
TLDR: after taking the coding assessment I got a response saying they didn't see any code and won't be moving further.
Got contacted through indeed prime by a recruiter and then they went dark after I offered them my available times. The indeed prime representative emailed the recruiter as ccd me. Finally the recruiter sent out a code challenge which was poorly explained. It was described as two tasks and I'd have 120mins to complete on Codility. The first question was comprised of two parts. Create a gui with a search field, submit button, and some boxes for images to be placed. The second was to incorporate it with the giphy api and allow a search to be made. Bonus points were awarded if you paginated the results. About 20mins were spent on setting up the api and getting keys for it. The rest was fairly simple and I completed it in 1:30 with 30mins to spare. And i zipped my file and submitted it. And then it took me to the 2nd task which I wasn't even aware of. Luckily I had 30mins to complete it....1hr would have been nice but I wasn't expecting another challenge l. It was a standard array problem, nothing too difficult. I raced against time to complete it and did in about 50ish lines of code and didn't have time to account for edge cases so I submitted it as is. I got a confirmation screen and went my merry way.
2 days passed by and I heard nothing back so I sent an email asking for feedback. And this is the response I got verbatim:
"I did not see any code. Unfortunately, we will not be moving ahead with your application at this point in time."
Mind you I missed a family get together for this assessment and that's the response I get? No effort was made to even resolve the "did not see any code". Clearly they don't care about who they are hiring. I feel they are just testing the waters with no intention to hire anyone. I will never apply to work for tesla again with their lack of effort and disrespect to their candidates. When another reviewer said that they don't respect their candidates, I thought he was just saying that because he got unlucky, but now I know what he meant.
Don't waste your time with them. There's better companies out there that actually care for their candidates.

Reproduce this page using HTML and CSS. Then make an API request to giphy and implement their search. After that here's another coding challenge to do which you probably won't have any time to complete.

I had a round of leet code styles questions. Asked me to design a card game with deque and it was straightforward. Followed by a round of frontend data extraction and mock UI building. Went well too.
