Colloquio
They make you do a whole presentation with data analysis as if you already worked for them. They also make you do this strange personality assessment but never tell you how you did. Think "The Game" starring Michael Douglas. If you haven't seen it go see it, great film.
The person who would be my boss had about 1/4 of the experience I did and was 10 years my junior so I was skeptical that this arrangement would work out. However they were recruiting me so I figured I'd play along for the experience.
As soon as I walked in the place, it was set up like a sweat shop with rows of desks and open seating. I just about walked out then but instead said "wow." You could smell everyone's lunch and it was noisy.
During my presentation they were firing questions at me which I thought was disrespectful. Questions should've been held until the end as they themselves stated they would be. There was one particular gentleman who had an especially sour attitiude and I could not imagine working with him. He ended up rudely checking his watch and leaving early. There are know-it-alls galore at Tesla, but how much they really know remains to be seen.
I had asked for more direct info about the comp pkg before agreeing to interview on site but they were skittish about it and would not give clear answers. They weren't able to meet my salary requirement but wouldn't say so directly.
In the end it was a waste of my time because 1)the work environment was as bad as a Shenzhen factory floor 2)the comp pkg wasn't up to my market value. 3)bad commute and no 401k matching 4)Company is in distress and stressful times are ahead with possibly more layoffs (see Nummi employee to finished car ratio Vs. Tsla's ratio) 5)They have a major employee parking problem, related to #4, there is no place to park 6)Too many alpha know it all personalities and tons of millenials running around.

Domanda 1
Experience about automation and supply chain basics
First round directly with the hiring manager, it goes on for almost an hour and then with some other managers. They go deep into your resume and ask questions based on that.
