first interview was a 20min call with HR, the 2nd was a Technical and the 3rd was a panel review.

What is your salary expectation, why did you apply to Tesla, GD&T
It's all about knowing the principals of engineering. Make sure you study beams and know all the formulas. They really like to make sure you know all the fundamentals and can ask questions that test your understandings of physics and materials.

How would you go about designing a kettle, break down the design details.
Initially there is a resume screening followed by several technical interviews. Opportunities to present prior work and learnings. Individual interviews by panellists. Finally HR screening rounds happen. Overall enjoyable and interesting process to go through for employment.
