The interview process at Thales was highly intensive and consisted of multiple stages. It began with more than four separate interviews via Microsoft Teams. Each of these video calls was quite lengthy, consistently lasting well over 20 minutes and diving deep into technical and professional backgrounds.
While the communication during the initial stages was frequent, the onboarding materials and preparation info received just a few hours before the interviews were incredibly extensive, making it difficult to review thoroughly on short notice.
The final stage involved a hands-on technical assessment. Unfortunately, the logistics for this step were not clearly communicated beforehand. I was never informed that the technical test would last over 4 hours, nor was I told that I needed to bring my own laptop. While the team members involved were professional, better upfront clarity regarding the duration and equipment requirements for the practical phase would significantly improve the candidate experience.
