      Colloquio difficile

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso The Connor Group (Louisville, KY) nel mese di apr 2022

      Colloquio

Both interviewers were very polite and had really good questions. Tough company to get into but it's how they figure out who is the best at sales. Really good benefits as well and able to move up if you work at it

      Colloquio

Interview process was great! 3 interviews to have my day in the field to ensure this is what I want to do. I love that they did this to make sure you fully understand what the expectation is. Soon after, I was hired.

      Colloquio

The recruiter was so nice and very informative. She explained how the process would go and I was very interested after seeing their 4.8 rating on glassdoor (unheard of in today’s climate). I hate a great conversation with her and moved on to a very strange phone interview which was literally a personality assessment on the phone. I passed that and moved onto a video conference with the next manager, she asked me a few questions and it was very comfortable and easy as I’m currently in sales/services and not afraid to deal with a difficult customer. I was then moved on the a video conference with the regional manager. (Strange the regional manager isn’t close enough to meet in person but whatever). Our connection was laggy and I could barely hear him. He asked me the exact same questions as the interview before while chewing on his pen and looking away from the camera. This was a red flag for me but I figured hey, there’s weird managers everywhere. I was then scheduled for a day in the field. At first it was scheduled at a property by my home. Then was moved to a property 40 minutes away. Prior to this I dug deeper into their reviews and realized they pay employees (or so a few reviews state) to write positive glassdoor reviews, this was a HUGE red flag but I thought maybe a few employees couldn’t succeed and were disgruntled so I decided to drive the 40 minutes to the property. I spoke with the regional trainer and property manager in one of the most disorganized offices I’ve ever entered for a max of 10 minutes and then was paired with a leasing agent for the rest of the day. He showed me what he did daily and explained a few unethical practices to me. (Including lying to future tenants about sq footage). He also told me his commission and it was embarrassingly low. The recruiter told me I had the potential to make 8k a year in commission, that’s impossible based on their payout. After that the regional trainer asked me 2 questions and then walked away. The next day (appreciate the speedy follow up) I received an email saying they’re going with another candidate. That’s great, because I’d have to be stupid to leave my current situation for a job like this. Oh, they also told me all about the growth opportunities but not one person in a management position that I came into contact with started at a lower level, all were hired from outside. In my final conversation with the regional trainer I told her it seemed like a job I’d succeed in but seeing not one person in a leadership position being promoted from below rubbed me wrong. She tried to make me feel stupid and explain it’s a new market. Can’t be that new when 2/3 people I interviewed with aren’t even there, and neither of them were promoted within the company both came from the outside. I’m not entirely happy in my current company but I know they’d pay to relocate personal to a new market before hiring someone from the outside and that’s something that keeps me with them. This company seems really bogus and I’m glad I got to see first hand what they’re really about. There’s absolutely 0 integrity from what I saw. The apartments they’re leasing are gorgeous but also extremely small and out dated. I live in a bigger apartment in the city and pay 500 less a month than what they’re asking for a smaller less luxurious apartment in the middle of nowhere. Also, if you want to advertise luxury please invest in stainless steal appliances. Lastly, their employee who I shadowed (who was phenomenal) told me they’re in the investment business and buy and sell property. So what happens when the property I’m at gets sold? I move to a new one, and what if that new one is 2 hours away from me? Guess I’m out of a job. Sounds like that’s why their turnover rate is so high. Read their reviews and think twice before taking this job. The grocery store pays more. By a long shot. Thanks for wasting so much of my time and goodluck lying to people about nonexistent opportunity !

Do you need to have a sale everyday to feel like you’ve achieved something? (All 4 people asked me this)
