The interview was arranged to coordinate with other candidates as a group interview about two weeks after I had been selected to be a participant. The interview went over company history, philosophy, and goals. Questions were asked openly and participants volunteered answers. I was selected several days later to interview individually with a manager and it went very well. A week later, I was asked to interview with another manager the following week. That interview went well, but I felt the vibe was off for some reason. Another week went by and I sent an email inquiring of my status and continued interest. I was surprised to recover a polite thank you for interviewing, but that I had not been selected for the position.

What has your experience in customer service been like and what things about it do you enjoy or not enjoy?

Simple, straightforward. The managers mostly wanted an understanding of how you interacted in groups of people and one on one with individuals in order to solve problems on the fly. Much of the interview was about presenting yourself as approachable, curious, and friendly.

The interview was pretty straightforward. They mainly asked about my previous experience, the type of work I’ve done before, and what days or times during the week I’m usually unavailable or already committed. It felt more like a casual conversation than a formal interview, which helped ease any nerves.

It was a great process, and the company was very communicative along the way. They called and emailed to give me updates. The interview was very conversational and easy-going. The manager there was very easy to talk to and gave information on the job on interview day.
