I saw this position open in the summer, then close, then open again in the fall. I applied and was contacted within 3 weeks by an external recruiter. They described an extensive 9 round interview process, including a project where you had to create and present a fundraising campaign strategy.
It raised a red flag for me, and when I asked if there was any flexibility in this process they ghosted me. I see the position is open yet again.
Asking for free work on top of this many rounds and never hiring anyone for this long is not a good look.

AVOID this position-- I applied August 6 (submitted an application and a video stating why I wanted to work there) and then did a phone interview on August 12. After the phone interview, I was asked to create a campaign. In my case, it was Hunger Action Month. I'm sure others were asked to do the same. At this point, it's up to you if you want to continue in the process by creating and submitting a campaign. I went for it and submitted my campaign ideas. On September 6, the rejection email came saying, "After careful consideration, we have decided to move forward with other candidates whose experience more closely matches our current needs and requirements for this role." Also a reasonable and standard response. But what I find extremely distasteful is that they just listed the position again yesterday. Either they don't know what they are doing (or looking for), they put a hold on the position for various internal reason, OR they are using this job posting to gather ideas. Either way, it's a waste of your time and my recommendation is to AVOID applying for this position.
