Human Resources arranged a phone interview with the department manager. A subordinate handled the entire interview. The interview questions covered my experience and some very general technical questions. I had more than enough experience for the position. I felt the interview went smooth and ended well. I expected to hear back, but get the feeling that I was competition for the interviewer. Never talked to the hiring authority and never heard back from the company even though they agreed to let me know the disposition of the job opening. No news is news and lacks the potential for confrontation.
