I was headhunted for a role that had been open for over a month. The process moved incredibly fast: a 45-minute recruiter call, followed by a manager interview the next day (Saturday), and then a CMO interview on Monday. I was then given a demanding, same-day assignment: a 7-campaign brand calendar with detailed deliverables including video scripts, social media content, and a press release. I delivered this comprehensive assignment on time.
The CMO praised my work, and I had a seemingly positive final interview with the CEO/Founder. Despite this, I've been completely ghosted. After multiple follow-ups, the recruiter stopped responding. I invested significant time and effort, including a full day on the assignment, only to be met with silence.
This experience was highly unprofessional and disrespectful of my time. While the team was initially enthusiastic, the complete lack of communication after such an intensive process is unacceptable. Proceed with caution.
