Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso The Nature Conservancy nel mese di mar 2019
Colloquio
Fairly standard hiring process. Initial screening call; call with potential manager; and in-person interview with leadership and other members of the team. Straightforward questions. TNC is a large, complex organization and had lots of questions about how one would navigate the complexity.

The interview process was relatively long and conducted by a third-party recruiting firm. Communication throughout the process was professional, respectful, and well organized. However, the process extended over several stages, and the final rejection was based on a criterion that appeared to be known from the very beginning, which made the overall experience somewhat frustrating despite the courteous handling.

I was excited to interview with The Nature Conservancy because they have such a great reputation of doing impactful work and treating their employees well. I had a basic screening via Zoom. The interviewer asked very standard questions, like he was checking them off a list. Fine but not really engaging. I haven't heard a single thing in several weeks so I guess they decided not to move on without me in the process. Also fine, but extremely rude not to let people know. It takes a few seconds to email people you reject - common courtesy and not excuse not to do it.

I met with four staff members and one was rude. When asked what is being done in a particular country she replied " Oh I can look it up for you like I have nothing better to do." Her co-worker looked embarrassed. At that point I decided I did not want to work for the nonprofit nor give money to it. I was no longer interested in working for The Nature Conservancy.
