      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 2 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso The Salvation Army (Yau Ma Tei) nel mese di ott 2025

      Colloquio

My profound disappointment with the interview process I recently experienced at the Yau Ma Tei Integrated Service for Young People. The administrative disorganisation and disrespectful treatment by staff were unacceptable and fell far below professional standards. 1. Poor Scheduling Coordination Your team contacted me last week to schedule an interview, initially proposing 5:00 PM the following day, with less than 24 hours’ notice. I declined due to a prior commitment and suggested alternative dates, but was informed that the Service Supervisor, was unavailable throughout the entire day. The following day, another staff member rescheduled the interview at 6:00 PM. Notably, the caller did not identify their name, position, or the specific role I was applying for. Most unprofessionally, within an hour of that call, I received yet another call attempting to schedule me for the same position the following week, despite my appointment already being confirmed. This repeated miscommunication reflects a deeply disorganised administrative process. 2. Extended Uncompensated Waiting Time I arrived 20 minutes early for my 6:00 PM interview and completed a 30-minute written assessment. Subsequently, I was left waiting for an additional hour before the interview began, without any explanation or apology. 3. Disrespectful Conduct by Interview Panel The interview was conducted by Senior Supervisor and two social workers, none of whom introduced themselves or their roles. Shortly after I began my self-introduction, she interrupted me in an impolite and rushed manner, preventing me from explaining my motivation for applying. She then questioned the relevance of my experience, and after I responded, one of the social workers repeated the same question, suggesting a lack of attentiveness. Furthermore, the interview was conducted in an informal and non-private setting, which compromised the professionalism and confidentiality expected in a recruitment process. As an organisation dedicated to social service, I expected a much higher degree of professionalism and basic courtesy. This experience has significantly undermined my confidence in your organisation's operational standards and commitment to respectful engagement.
