Step 1: Had a phone + video interview with HR and team lead for some basic screening questions and some technical location based questions. Step 2: Was given an assignment which I had to submit and took 2 days to do it. Step 3: Had face to face technical and scenario based interview @ Oakville location with HR and Lead which went for an hour. Mostly questions were based on assignment I had submitted and explaining in more detail about it and things I have used in it why I did it. Step 4: Got invitation for another round of face to face interview @ Oakville location a week later with Lead, Chief Data Officer and BA which went for another 1.5 hrs which was more situational based questions, by the way CDO was most of the time on the phone and was in and out of interview. By the end of the interview it felt like everyone was happy and I would get the job. Lead said he wants me to meet to the team so we can know each other. Once they were in he ask them to ask me questions. Some were reasonable asking me about my past experience, but some started asking about I believe their current issues which they were facing which I said I can research and tell them answers if got chance to work on it and answered few of the questions which I could on the fly. This went for another half hr. Everybody looked happy and I was positive again. My recruiter called me how it went I told her everything looks positive. I didn't hear for a week and I contacted my recruiter about whats going on. At that moment she told that she got verbal feedback that I wasn't having deep knowledge of what they were looking for. I was just shocked and was WHATTTT!!!! I spent almost 30 hrs for whole of interview process/ travelling to hear this. And when I asked what kind of deep knowledge they were looking she said HR didn't know and will send her an email which I am pretty sure will never come. The whole process was so tiring and time consuming with no worth as it seems like they didn't even know what they are looking for and just wasting candidates time. Even recruiter said they have sent so many candidates and they have rejected all of them and was looking most promising which went so far. Will not recommend anyone interview in this company, working would be even worse.
