I met with CTO of company, discussed my technical background, specifically E&M and benchtop sensor equipment. He showed me how the measurement stability of a metrology tool was perturbed by opening the cabinet and asked me to opine about what was happening.

The measurement is showing a thickness of 18 Angstroms. When I open the door of the electronic cabinet, the measurement jumps almost half an Angstrom. What could be going on to make this happen?
