Saw posting online for position in Austin, responded with resume' and cover letter. Recruiter in Boston called me for phone interview, asked about my history and experience. Then arranged a phone interview with the hiring manager in Austin. Hiring manager in Austin interviewed me by phone, with more questions about my history. Then recruiter arranged a face-to-face with a team at the Austin site. The team interviewed me one by one. There were next to no technical questions. It was all about confrontation and how I deal with it. Hiring manager. Scientist. Team engineer. HR lady. I thought I could read the hiring manager, thought I had a chance. The Scientist had a great poker face. The team engineer seemed to really like me. I couldn't read the HR lady at all. Unsure of how it really went. Then a phone interview with the department head in Italy. I don't think I impressed him at all. They could be looking for a person to become the group manager.
