First of all, I would like to share that I applied through Freshersworld.com and they shortlisted me and sent the admit card for this interview. I went there and came to know at the reception that I can’t appear for the interview as I have less than 70% in Engineering. They needed above 70% throughout and I had 94% in Xth class, 84% in XIIth class but less than 70% in Engineering. I was really frustrated because:
1. They never mentioned anywhere that they have this criteria and also if they had this criteria why did they shortlist my profile even after they had my resume which clearly mentioned my marks.
2. Thinksys is a very very small company. Even huge MNCs do not have a criteria of 70%. Even they have a criteria of 55% or 60%. Thinksys should set their criteria according to their standards and not more than that!!!
After all this, I told the guy at the reception to call one of the HR and I started arguing about why did they shortlist my profile and send me an admit card for the interview if I didn’t fit the criteria. She kept blaming Freshersworld.com for that mistake but I showed her the email which I received in which it was clearly written that the mail was sent by ThinkSys. So I told her they should consider me for the interview as it was their mistake.
1. ROUND ONE: APTITUDE TEST
So, finally, I had been seated for the first round that was the aptitude round. There were 30 questions in the question paper, including maths and English, with Multiple Choice Answers for each. There was no such time limit as I completed this test in 30 mins approx. but others even took more than an hour. This round was particularly easy for me and I knew I would clear this round easily.
Level: Easy to Medium
2. ROUND TWO: HR ROUND
In this round, one of HR just checked my communication skills and asked me to give an introduction and asked about my stengths and weaknesses. Then she told me about the package which I was shocked to hear. For the first 3 months, we will be on a training period, in which they would provide only ₹5000 per month and after that they would take an evaluation test, if which you clear, you would be put on a permanent role with a salary of ₹17000 per month. Also, they said that I’ll have to sign a bond of 2 years. Very disappointing. Anyhow, I cleared this round too.
Level: Easy
3. ROUND THREE: 1st TECHNICAL ROUND
In this round, they asked me a lot of questions, some of which were totally not relevant. Anyhow, they asked me about SQL Joins, HTML, Java, C++, Python, etc. They also asked me if I knew or have worked on JavaScript, Django, PHP, CSS to which I replied that I’m a fresher, so, No I haven’t. I was a little worried here but I cleared this round.
Level: Hard to Very Hard
4. ROUND FOUR: 2nd TECHNICAL ROUND
In this round, he asked me if I’m fluent with C++, to which I replied YES. Then he asked me to write functions for some of the programs in C++. He gave me 4 programs and I wrote the functions for these. Then he asked if I’ve worked on Linux environment on all these languages and I said YES.
Level: Medium to Hard
I was confident for this round as I answered all questions, but after a few mins, the HR came in and told me that I hadn’t cleared the 2nd Tenchincal Round. Shocked! Again! This was the final round and I had confidence for this but I guess because of the percentage criteria matter, they rejected me.
