Question: How many golf balls can you fit in a school bus? After answering, the interviewer seemed confused by my answer, as if he had searched on the internet how Microsoft interviews people, and tried to emulate, but forgot to read the answer, or the importance of the answering process.

They reached out to me on Linkedin about the position and did a 30 min phone screening shortly there after. That was followed by another 30 minute interview with the person who would be my boss. The position sounded like a really great fit and they progressed me to the next phase. An hour long interview with another technical VP. But he seemed to be interviewing me for a data architect position. When I asked for feedback he said he was disappointed that I worked was talking about anything other than data platforms even though my previous conversation indicated I would be managing websites and cloud setup. Felt like I interviewed for two different positions with two very different skill sets. Not sure which they actually needed. To me, this would indicate some sort of internal conflict, either conscious or not.
