I recently interviewed for an Engagement Manager role, and unfortunately, it wasn’t a great experience. The interviewer was on holiday in Mexico (which he mentioned himself), seemed distracted, and didn’t provide clear answers to my questions. He also didn’t ask anything relevant to the role and often seemed lost. By the end of the conversation, I had already decided this wasn’t the right company for me. Later, I checked his background and realized he had less experience than me, maybe he’s good at his job, but interviewing clearly isn’t his strength. Overall, a frustrating and uninformative process.
