Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 4 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso TikTok (Londra, Inghilterra) nel mese di dic 2023
Colloquio
First round - 30 min informal call with recruiter. Basic questions.
Second round - 1 hour case study call. Given data and asked to explain how you would approach the issue.
Third round - 1 hour with team lead. Questions on experience and skill set.
Fourth round - interview with head of department. Long term career aspirations. Value you can bring.
Found the entire process chaotic and a little odd. Interviewees were late to meetings. Questions were scripted and unnatural. No feedback given after the process. They even mentioned the bad reviews on Glassdoor and told me not to take them into consideration. I didn’t even know about them at that point but I’m so thankful I checked. 5 days in the office is compulsory

I've applied to a few Strategy roles at Tiktok. The structure varies slightly depending on the opportunity, but generally starts with three rounds of interviews: HR call, peer interview, and hiring manager interview. There are potentially a few more rounds afterwards, incl. one with the department head.

Domanda 1
Experience from past projects, and the thinking frameworks from those projects. They may also describe the business problems they're facing now and ask for your approach.

Horribly disrespectful. Hiring manager joined 10+ minutes late then proceeded to be in a rush with bad connection. They asked to prepare a technical proposal for a case, yet the hiring manager was paying little attention. Half of the time she turned off her camera, which signalled she was not even listening. She then proceed with stopping me in the middle of my presentation, likely because she was busy and wanted to cut the meeting short. Asked me to share with her all my hard work of the proposal (feels like they just wanted to gather ideas. in this case why not just ask university students to do such?).
After a day or two i followed up with the recruiter, only to find out the email bounced back which was an utter shock. I had to further follow up by giving the person a call only to realise they left the business.
Whole experience was a total mess, which is a blessing in disguise as it is a big red flag of how the toxic working culture everyone talks about could likely be true.
