IT Leaders in the interview were great - engaging, funny and made me really eager to join the organization. However, the senior talent acquisition person I dealt with was determined to blow up my current job role despite not providing a job offer. His insistence upon talking with my current direct reports and manager showed a lack of discretion and flexibility. I would have had no problem sharing this if there was a conditional offer on the table but I was not willing to cause disruption in my current role if I was not the final candidate. I provided four solid references from people I work with in my current and previous roles but seemed like this HR person was simply determined to blow up my current role so I'd be more likely to accept a lowball offer from TCHC. Left a sour taste in my mouth and happily walked away from consideration.
