Email intro to a current employee via a friend. The current employee then connected me to the Human Resources department. I was then invited in to meet for an interview in person. The interview lasted an hour.

The job description online does not reflect what the role actually is. They booked me for round 1 & 2 interviews all together which was fine with me, seems like they are looking to hire someone ASAP. During round 1, the HR spent most of the time asking about how my current company make profit and it’s unique business model, then focusing on my experience. I barely got a chance to explain how my experience would be relevant to this role. I told her that I could not disclose confidential information from my current company when she asked how much my company make per year and per month. Seems like she was not satisfied with my reason of leaving the current role, her tone changed right after I explained my reasoning. There are going to be 5 or 6 rounds of interviews and assessments before the offer, which is longer than many other interviews I’ve had. But it’s tolerable if both parties are serious about it. Overall, the interview made me feel uncomfortable. The questions she was asking were irrelevant to who I am and what I am capable of doing. It made me feel like she came on this call with decision in mind already. I received the rejection letter and the cancellation of the second round interview two hours before the second call.
