Interviewed with TNS in June 2018 for NOC Analyst overnight role.
Interviewed with CEO and Engineer.
Process was a phone interview (just ceo), then an in-person interview (with ceo and engineer) a week later. Decision to move forward took about a week after the in-person interview.
CEO indicated overall hiring process would take a month to run various background checks and take a basic written exam. (was advised the exam is fairly simple to take but this step would only occur if you make the cut after the in-person interview)
Phone interview questions asked:
- Provide a summary of your work history.
- What made you interested to work for TNS.
- What is your salary expectation.
(Overall there wasn't any of the usual: "technical questions" (for example no questions like "what is dhcp?, what is dns? what is a router/switch?" "what is the osi model" none of those were asked
The questions appeared to gauge insight of your previous work related experience on various situations that would relate to the job role
I unfortunately did not get an offer as they had moved forward.
Office environment appears to be small (front desk will validate parking)
The company is looking to expand, which was the reason for the open role.
Overall, ceo and engineer lead appear to be very nice and was transparent during the interview. They provided insight into the job role and what they are looking for.
The past two interview posts (on glassdoor) about there experiences interviewing seemed vague and didn't give much insight for potential candidates to expect.
Hopefully this will be useful to someone and best of luck to those who apply.
