The interview process here takes some time. I applied online and got an email 10 hours later telling me to call to schedule a phone screening. I called the next day. Like many others, when I called to "schedule the screening", they just did it on the spot. I knew about this from researching the interview process, but if I hadn't known I would've felt unprepared. They asked me a few basic questions like why I want to work at TJs, what shifts I'd be willing to work, and what my experience was like. Then they scheduled my first real interview with a Mate for a few days later. The interview with the Mate was mostly a "getting to know you" type of interview. They asked questions about my resume and my personal life and they told me about the job and what it entails. They were very nice and seemed to like me and it was an extremely casual and fun interview. They told me they would call me to schedule my interview with the Captain. It took 4-5 days for them to call to schedule the next interview, and they made it for the following week. At this interview, I was asked more questions about my resume and my work history. I was also asked what things are important to me in a work place and what bothers me in a work place. The Captain had a great poker face so I couldn't tell what he thought of any of my answers, but all the interviews seemed primarily about personality. The Captain said they would let me know within a week but it took about a week and a half for them to actually call me and offer me the job. They were going to schedule my orientation for the following day but I was out of town, so they scheduled it for a week later. From start to finish the process took about a month.

pretty good, asked a lot of questions, nice people, I have been a shopper with trader joes, the people are helpful, and I have done a lot of work in customer services, and I believe I will be a great fit at trader joes.
