Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Trader Joe's (Cincinnati, OH) nel mese di dic 2024
Colloquio
My first interview was quite pleasant. Very warm and inviting. Truly wanted to get to know me as an employee and what I had to offer. Wanted to hire me on the spot but set me up with a second interview as soon as possible.
The second interview a completely different tone shift. Seemed completely disinterested in interviewing me before we talked. Acted weird about shaking hands from the beginning. Pulled their hand back uncomfortably. Had just very cold and distant attitude towards me before we even talked.
I have several years of experience with customer service and never experienced an interview like this. It felt like I was judged before I could even make it through the second interview. I have an amazing background and didn't understand this treatment. Was a very off-putting second interview.
When I asked about a 3rd interview (Why have 3 interviews anyway?) they paused awkwardly and mumbled that they would call me once they talk to the first person interviewed me.
I have a feeling that they never did and hoped I would not get back in contact with them. I'm very disappointed for a place that says that they are inclusive. I was treated very poorly.
I had called back a week later to discuss my experience with the second interview and they apologized and said they "don't do things like that at Trader Joe's" and would look into the matter and get right back to me. However weeks later and I never received a call back.
I had such high hopes and felt very disappointed by my 2nd interview. In very troubling dark times and a bad economy on top of it as a parent I'm just trying to secure a second job to support my family.
Applied online and had one in person interview with the captain. It lasted maybe 10 minutes. Got a call a week or so later that I got the job. Very fast process.

It's two to three interviews, the final with the Captain (or highest manager) of the store. The interviews are largely to get to know your personality and how well you would do at customer service.
The interview process was absolutely wonderful! I didn't feel stressed or nervous and it felt like I was just chatting with a friend! Trader Joes is a great company and the interview was great.
