The first-round interview was conducted by a current Business Analyst from the team. The conversation was informal and friendly, which helped ease initial nerves. The interviewer asked basic questions related to JIRA—mostly around issue tracking and sprint boards—so familiarity with the tool is definitely helpful.
Interestingly, the discussion also included some personal sharing from the interviewer, including details about her family's native place, which made the interaction feel more human and less rigid. While the technical depth was light in this round, it seemed more like a culture-fit and communication check.
