I was asked to apply based on my LinkedIn profile and had 4 interviews in probably 2 weeks; initial call from recruiter/field manager to gauge my interest, HR rep, local hiring manager, regional VP. Process was straight forward and seemed to be moving quickly and then, nothing. No follow up from anyone and was totally ghosted for 6 weeks. I sent 2 emails to the HR rep with no response to the 1st one. The 2nd email I indicated it would be the last follow up on my end and I received a brief reply that she would check with the local hiring manager and let me know status. Never heard anything back after that and eventually found out I was no longer being considered when I logged in to check my app status. It takes less than 30 seconds to send a ‘thanks but no thanks” email and this trend of ghosting candidates is beyond unprofessional. Consider yourself warned.
