Applied online, heard back within what I considered a reasonable amount of time. Interview was scheduled quickly - no issues there.
1st interview:
This is a Marketing Lead position with 2 direct reports, and needs to have knowledge of a wide range of marketing channels in order to work efficiently with the team and activate campaigns.
Salary was presented as £60-65k with a bonus of 10-30% of 1/3rd of your salary (paid every 4 months). So, 2,167 - 6,500 GBP in commission. Probably looking at max £70k if you perform well. Unclear if that's company performance or individual, and they were not able to clarify that on the interview.
When challenged on the salary - it was mentioned that they're a start-up. This company has raised $29million in Series B and apparently are not leveraging this pot of cash at the minute.
In my opinion, even though they have the cash to pay - they are not paying a fair market rate for a Marketing Lead and the responsibilities involved (based on other recruitment processes I am in the process with).
Naturally - I opted out of this process when I learned this.
Very low turnover of staff in this company. Hybrid role, 2 days per week from Green Park.
