This was a monumental waste of time. Five interviews stretched out over the course of two months and they had budget cuts and eliminated three out of the five openings that were available for this position. They already filled two positions before I had my fifth interview so technically, I never had a shot. What's more, it took three weeks after that interview to learn this information. Three very long weeks of being strung along by the recruiter only to receive a generic rejection e-mail as the final result. I must say, after all of the hours of interviewing, I felt that kind of response was a little inappropriate. I had to follow up to gain any real feedback.
Initially, I appreciated how methodical they were in screening applicants, but now, it seems more like poor communication and disorganization. Trinet, should you read this, please work on your communication and follow up. We interview you as much as you do us. This left such a bad impression that I now view the budget cut as a blessing in disguise.
